At Kingdom Voyages, we believe every soul deserves to hear the Gospel—and every family deserves hope in times of need. Our mission is to bring the love of Jesus Christ to communities across North, Central, and South America, sharing the Good News while meeting urgent physical needs.

With every voyage, we deliver Bibles, medical supplies, hygiene kits, and other life-giving resources to the most vulnerable—always in the name of Christ. But this work is only possible through faithful partners like you.

Whether it's through evangelism, disciple-making, or disaster relief, we serve hand-in-hand with local churches and volunteers, building up communities with compassion and Kingdom purpose.

Your support helps us reach further, serve deeper, and love greater. Will you join us—by giving, going, or praying—to be part of what God is doing through Kingdom Voyages?

How we Move

Yacht Voyage

We use small to mid-sized boats to carry supplies directly to nation's shores. This flexible method helps us reach areas where larger vessels or formal ports aren’t available.

Ocean Logistics

We partner with freight services to send bulk supplies through established sea routes. This method is ideal for larger shipments and coordinated container delivery.

Air Logistics

When speed matters most, we fly in essential items by air. This allows us to deliver time-sensitive materials like medical kits and ministry resources quickly and securely.

Chris Poffenroth

Founder of Kingdom Voyages

I am the founder and leader of Kingdom Voyages, a Christian ministry devoted to strengthening and encouraging the body of Christ in Cuba through practical support, evangelism and discipleship. I was born and raised in Alberta, Canada. I come from a background in medicine and remain active in real estate development.

During a season of sabbatical and personal reflection, I purchased a yacht in Lake Michigan and journeyed through the Great Loop. Traveling the intercostal waterways of the Mississippi River, the Gulf waters and eventually to the Florida Keys. What began as a season of adventure and rest soon became a divine redirection from the Holy Spirit.

While in Florida, God stirred my heart to venture to Cuba. Through missionary friends and local believers, I was introduced to the local pastors, church leaders and faithful brothers and sisters in Christ, in both Havana and Varadero. As I spent time living among the Cuban people, building relationships, worshipping together and witnessing the hardships and perseverant faith of the local church, the LORD began to soften my heart in a profound way.

1 John 3:17 says that, "If someone has enough money to live well and sees a brother or sister in need but shows no compassion—how can God’s love be in that person?" This verse became deeply personal to me and helped me shape the vision that would eventually become Kingdom Voyages.

I departed Cuba with a changed vision and calling for my life. From there the LORD directed my path to creating Kingdom Voyages as a vessel to deliver hope and encouragement to my brothers and sisters in Cuba.

Devan Alt

Director of Local & Global Outreach

I was born in Harrisonburg, Virginia and grew up in a household that loved and feared the LORD. Even though I was surrounded by godly influence growing up, I didn't have a genuine relationship with God until 2019. From that moment on, the LORD has been working on me and molding me into the servant He wants me to be.

Currently, I live in North Carolina with my wife (Courtney) and two daughters. We have been faithful members at Charity Baptist Church since April of 2021, where I serve on the kid's and youth ministry teams. I come from a background in Software Engineering and am currently employed in that field.

In 2024, I felt the Holy Spirit calling my family and I to be part of global missions in some way. We felt a specific draw towards serving the global & local Latino communities. I currently serve as the director of Local & Global Outreach for Kingdom Voyages, where I am connecting local churches in the United States to be partners of the Great Commission in Cuba. I am concurrently responsible for building relationships with all our ministry partners in Cuba and faithfully communicating their physical and spiritual needs to churches and partnering organization in the UnitedStates. I fervently working to see that my brother's and sister's needs in Cuba are met physically and spiritually. I am currently also working towards a Masters of Applied Theology in Missions at Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary.

I find it a great joy to serve wherever the LORD calls me! Additionally, I love being able to devote myself and serve my wife & daughters, locally at Charity Baptist Church and the global body of Christ through Kingdom Voyages in Cuba!

Courtney Alt

Director of Women's Ministry & Outreach

I was born in 1993 in a small town in North Carolina. I attended and was surrounded by church ministry my whole life growing up. Even though I knew who Jesus was, I found myself struggling with the concept of grace and still trying to earn God's favor by being a "perfect" Christian. After having my two daughters, it became so evident that as hard as I tried and no matter what I did or didn't do, I could never be perfect enough to earn the love of Christ...and I didn't have to. Ephesians 2:8-9 shows us that there is nothing we can do to earn God's grace and there is freedom for us in His grace. No money can buy it, no status can obtain it, and nothing can match it. This freedom can never be found in anything other than abiding in God's Word and being Jesus' disciple.

In October of 2024 and again in July of 2025, I had the opportunity to go to Guatemala on a short term mission trips with our local church (Charity Baptist Church). There I fell in love with spreading the love of Christ through ministering to the whole body. Showing the love of Christ by caring for the person as a whole; not just spiritually, but through their health, emotional, and social needs. Meeting the needs of someone struggling in poverty and caring for them as they walk through the hard moments of life while simultaneously caring for them in all of the big and small ways that often get overlooked. I feel very passionate in being able to reach those in need with the Gospel by first caring for the humanity of the person and their most basic needs that often create stumbling blocks for them in their everyday life.

I enjoy serving at my local church in North Carolina as a Nursery Team Coordinator and also with the Kids ministry. I currently serve as the Director of Women's Ministry & Outreach for Kingdom Voyages where I build relationships with and minister to the needs of my sisters in Christ in Cuba.

Liuber Alvarez

Minister of Outreach & Evangelism (Cardenas, Cuba)

I was born in Sancti Spiritus, Cuba. Growing up in Communist Cuba, I did not have really any encounters with God. It wasn't until 2022, that Jesus found me and I gave my life to Him!

I am passionate about the word of LORD Jesus and my purpose is to share the word of God through the power of the Holy Spirit within me! I believe Jesus still continues to work miracles in the lives of people and that they are a sign of not only His glory but also to encourage believers and for unbelievers to see Him. The power of the Holy Spirit is alive and available to those who would put their trust in God.

I partner with Kingdom Voyages as the Minister of Outreach and Evangelism in Cardenas, where God uses me as a vessel to meet the physical and spiritual needs of the people in my community through providing food and encouragement in God word. I get such joy from sharing the word of God in lives of those I come across and loving my neighbors through the support that comes through Kingdom Voyages!
